Lonely Town

It’s nice to have a friend to be lonely with (because sometimes things like the Sad Ghost Club feel terribly real). There’s something relaxing and reassuring about listening to someone breathe and talk quietly over the phone. Even if there’s nothing to say, it’s comforting to know that someone is there, a stone in the lake, a root in the earth, a star in the night.

(Because death does not stop light from glowing in our sky).
